New Delhi: North Delhi Mayor Azad Singh Azad Singh directed the concerned officials to repair the drains of the area and cover them with slabs so that there is proper outfall. He was on the way for inspection of Karala and Khanjhawla areas, falling under Ward No. 29. The Mayor was accompanied by Addl. Commissioner (Health); Mayank Sharama, Addl. Commissioner (Revenue); Mr. M.S.A Khan, Director-in-Chief (DEMS) K P Singh, Deputy Commissioner (Narela); Kuldeep Yadav and senior officials of other departments.
During the inspection of Karala, Azad Singh directed the concerned officials to repair the drains of the area and cover them with slabs so that there is proper outfall. He also visited a Municipal Girls School, and tasted mid-day meal for its quality which was being distributed among the students. He also talked to the children about the education facilities.
‘During the inspection of Kanjhawala Polyclinic, Mayor directed the officials to develop multispecialty hospital of 100 beds at the premises of polyclinic on vacant land so the area people can avail the medical facilities at their doorsteps.
Mayor Azad Singh interacted with the local residents and listened to their grievances. He also directed the officials concerned to take appropriate possible action to redress their grievances.
