New Delhi: Congress has blamed that Kejriwal is behaving like a dictator, and corruption was going unchecked in the absence of a Lokpal or Lokayukta. Kejriwal was deliberately delaying the constitution of Lokpal or in appointing a Lokayukta, which has been lying vacant since November, 2013.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Makenhas  said the Aam Aadmi Party Government was fully immersed in corruption with one-third of its Ministers getting the boot for corruption and forgery within eights months after coming to power, and as a result, the Kejriwal Government has been left with no time to tackle pressing issues like soaring prices of essential commodities.

Ajay Maken said the Kejriwal Government has not been able to fulfil even a single promise made to the people, as it has all through misled and cheated the people of Delhi to get their votes, and after coming to power, the AAP  Ministers and MLAs have been caught in corruption, cheating and forgery cases, and various other scandals. He said within eight months after coming to power, two AAP  Ministers were sacked for forgery and corruption.

Maken said  Law Minister Jitender Tomar was sacked for forging his Law Degree while Food and Civil Supplies Minister Asim Ahmed Khan was sacked for corruption, and asked for a CBI enquiry against him, to take a  pseudo  high moral ground. Shri Maken said Kejriwal cannot escape blame for the all-pervading corruption in the AAP Ministry as he had hand-picked the MLA candidates and Ministers, flouting all democratic norms and bypassing internal democracy.

Maken said it was very ironic that the AAP party, which came to power on the anti-corruption plank, was now battling the demons of corruption in its own ministry and rank and file of the party. He said former Law Minister Somnath Bharti was arrested for violence against his wife while MLA Manoj Kumar was arrested for cheating. He said a large number of AAP MLAs have been accused of various other crimes, and they have been left scot free by Kejriwal, as they continue to be members of the AAP party.
