Delhi Tourism is organizing 05 Days Dandiya Festival at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri from 2nd – 06th October, 2016 at 06:00 p.m. onwards.

The highlight of the festival will be DJ Dandiya as people can come and participate in this musical dance event. This dance has a huge significance to the Indian culture as it symbolizes Goddess Durga’s fight with the demon king Mahishasura, where pair of sticks represents sword of Goddess Durga.

DJ Dandiya will provide an enthralling experience to the visitors as they can participate and enjoy the rhythmic beats of DJ while doing dandiya. Also, there is no separate participation fee for DJ Dandiya. The entry fee is only for the Dilli Haat entrance.

Other attractions of the event will include special arrangements for the joy rides, camel ride etc for the entertainment of the kids and engrossing handicrafts & handloom bazaar, and an ethnic food court will also provide a complete and delightful package.


Dilli Haat Janak Puri is a multi-purpose, socio-cultural complex with a ‘Bazaar’ feel to it. It is an urban version of the traditional weekly market, with a delightful mix of craft, cuisine and culture.
