PVR Director's Cut celebrates 1000 patrons for DC privilege card

New Delhi: PVR Cinemas announced that Director’s Cut has signed up its 1,000 th member with the Director Cut's ("DC") Privilege Card programme, the luxury cinema's membership programme designed to combine ease of payment with a wealth of benefits offered by a network of hand-picked retail brand partners.

To celebrate this milestone, less than 6 months after this initiative was launched, PVR Director's Cut hosted a fashion show with designer Kushali Kumar, who presented for the occasion a collection of ballroom and evening gowns inspired by the spring flower varieties in France, a theme reminiscent of Mistral’s Fresh and Simple motto. Kushali Kumar is known to design unique pieces for international celebrities such as Shakira, Justin Bieber, Melanie Brown and many more.

On the occasion, Kushali Kumar, a fashion designer said, "It's a pleasure to be working with PVR Directors Cut. My collection consists of elegant and flowy ballroom gowns and evening wear dresses which celebrate the mood and spirit of Mistral. The entire look of the collection travels back to the mysterious and stylish era of the 1920's in Europe which provides a Cinematic Experience to the audience. Directors Cut philosophy of believing in par excellence service and world class experience is truly carried forth by the collection through all means."

Renaud Palliere, CEO-International Development, PVR Ltd, said, "This marks a very exciting milestone for the DC Privilege Card™ initiative. We thought important to celebrate it with those who contributed to its success, namely our esteemed patrons and supportive retail partners. This certainly encourages us to continue enhancing our guest experience even further by offering a convenient and seamless means of payment inside the auditoriums, loaded with exclusive perks and privileges".

The DC Privilege Card is a store value card holding a monetary value ranging anywhere from Rs. 1,500 to a maximum of Rs. 50,000. DC Privilege cardholder can purchase movie tickets online or at the box office, and seamlessly settle in-auditorium food and beverage bills through a swift and instant transaction, unlike with cumbersome cash or lengthier credit card payments.

Needless to say, PVR is the largest and the most premium film entertainment company in India. Currently amongst the top 10 cinema companies in the world with respect to admissions per screen, PVR has entered the World Economic Forum's List of Fastest-Growing 'Global Growth Companies'.
