The 4th th General Assembly of Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) will be held in-Bengaluru

The Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) is the largest association of Election Management Bodies (EMBs) worldwide. 

A-WEB was established on October 14, 2013 in Song-do, South Korea. 


At present A-WEB has 115 EMBs as Members & 20 Regional Associations/Organisations as Associate Members. 24 EMBs from Asia, 37 from Africa, 31 from America, 17 from Europe &  6 from Oceania presently are members of A WEB

Shri Kalraj Mishra, Governor of Himachal Pradesh is transferred and appointed as Governor of Rajasthan
Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari as Governor of Maharashtra
Shri Bandaru Dattatraya as Governor of Himachal Pradesh
Shri Arif Mohammed Khan as Governor of Kerala

Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan as Governor of Telangana 

2. Major General Joyce Gladys Roach- New ADG MNS


Major General Joyce Gladys Roach has assumed charge of the post of Additional Director General, Military Nursing Service (MNS).

Major General Roach is the first and the only OT Matron to be posted in high altitude, 153 GH from April 1988 to March 1990. She has served as a Cardio Thoracic OT Matron for 15 years.

3. Qutb Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site Illuminated List 

The historic Qutb Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has came alive as it saw the first ever architectural LED illumination which will display its historic magesty after sunset. 

A total of 358 technologically advanced LED lights have been used which will consume 62% less electricity than conventional light fixtures.


Archaeological Survey of India has taken up the project to illuminate important monuments of Delhi. Earlier, the illumination of Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Purana Qila and Safdarjung Tomb has already been completed.
