Nelson Mandela: 27 Years In Prison Against the Racist Policies, Know The World Leader's View

Nelson Mandela: The real name of Nelson Mandela was Rolihlahla Mandela and the name "Nelson" was a name given to him by his first school teacher. You will be surprised to know that the person who had spent the golden 27 years  for his political activities against apartheid, although he was a boxer in his youth and was known as "The Black Pimpernel."

He was the first black president of South Africa and served from 1994 to 1999. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 and he is considered one of the most important figures in the history of South Africa and the world. 

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela don't need any identification as it is difficult to believe his struggle and achievement for his people and country. Nelson Mandela is the world famous a social rights activist, politician and philanthropist who was borne on July 18,1918.Mandela was the first black president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. 

He was born on July 18, 1918, in the tiny village of Mvezo. Mandela is known for his campaign of peaceful, nonviolent defiance against the South African government. He has created history in South Africa after remained in prison for 27 years for his fight against the racist policies of the South African Government. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.

South African icon for peace and reconciliation and justice, Nelson Mandela lost his life after a prolonged illness at the age of 95.


South African President Jacob Zuma announced his departure on the national television in a statement. In his short speech, Zuma said, “Our nation has lost its greatest son who sacrifices so much for the people could be free.”

According to sources, Mandela lost his life after a prolonged lung infection. He sacrificed his life for the liberty of the country and gets an icon of peace and reconciliation by giving a message of justice around the world.




The imprisonment of 27 years, about three decades is enough to tell his non violence and his determination for independence of the country. It shown his fight against white rule and it also made him so strong and determined that he never surrendered before the government.

The Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born on July 18, 1918.
