Diwali gift by Indian Cricket Team: India wins series

It is one of the major gift by Indian Cricket Team to the Indian fans on the eve of Diwali when it defeated New Zealand by 190 runs in the fifth and final One-Day International (ODI). With this win, team India clichéd the series with the major achievement on the ground.

It became tough task for New Zealand to chase the Indian score of 270 runs,  as it was Mishra 5/18 left no stone unturned to damage the visitor on the ground.

With this achievement, Mishra was named as the  man of the match for the match. Apart from this, he was also adjudged as the  man of the series for a total haul of 15 wickets. It is noted that he took total 15 wickets in the Five one day match in the series.

Indian batting was in full form today and batsman were in no mood to any mercy. Kohli and Rohit helped India post a decent total of 269/6 by making both of them as half centuries.

When Kohli made  65 runs off out of total 76 balls. There were  two boundaries and a six in his glorious innings. Rohit scored magnificent 65-ball  in 70  balls with five boundaries.


The New Zealand innings  was not on the track from the beginning as opener Martin Guptill gave his wicket to Yadav.
