Phone Tapping of Judiciary: BJP slams Kejriwal for his ‘creating sensation’ ramarks

BJP has slammed Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for his allegations against the tapping of phones of Judiciary.  Leader of Opposition, Vijender Gupta, today said that the serious allegations made by Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal that phones of members of the Indian judiciary are being tapped and their conversation are being monitored is outrightly mischievous, malignant  and motivated .

He said that there is no truth in the allegations and it was rightly rebutted by Union Law Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad. There is no point, said Vijender Gupta, in making allegations for which there is no proof or evidence.

Vijender Gupta said that it is highly unbecoming on the part of the Chief Minister to make the baseless allegations at a platform where the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of India and the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court present on the dias. He only wanted to create sensation and controversy  He said that Kejriwal being the Chief Minister of Delhi should not have made comments of this nature which could not be substantiated. If he had suspicion of this nature, he should have raised this issue much earlier at appropriate forum rather than waiting for the prestigious forum of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Delhi High Court.

Leader of Opposition questioned if Kejriwal could  name the judges between whom the conversation to the above effect took place. He cannot name the judges and he will never do it because there is no truth in what he said.  His only motive was to create sensation, controversy and bring bad name to the Central Government and create rift between the judiciary and the Government
