19 November: World Toilet Day theme unveils

New Delhi: Today 19th Nov’16 has been observed as the World Toilet Day, 19th Nov’16. 
 On the occasion of 4^th World Toilet Day, 19th Nov’16, Roca along with We Are Water foundation invites everyone pledge againstopen defecation. 

The first toilets were manufactured around 4,000 years ago but still more than 450 million people in India defecate in the open.

Roca has undertaken the initiative to raise awareness about the issue and end the culture of open defecation in this country. The theme for this year's World Toilet Day is to stop the practice of open defection by increasing the number of toilets and providing access to basic sanitation and hygiene.

Keeping in sync with this theme, Roca along with We are Water foundation comes together for an activity where everyone is invited to pledge their support by symbolically building toilets, as they make them where there are none in reality.

Taking about the initiative Mr.PauAbellóPellicer, Managing Director, Roca Bathroom Products Pvt. Ltd. said, ‘Roca Bathroom Products has always been responsible towards the environment and providing better sanitation to the society. This year on the occasion of World Toilet Day we pledged our support to stop the menace of open defecation in this country and we invite everyone to join us to make this vision a reality’.
