According to Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, the water storage available in 91 major reservoirs of the country for the week ending on October 11, 2018 was 118.304 BCM which is 73% of total storage capacity of these reservoirs.<br />

This percentage was at 75% for the week ending on October 04, 2018. The level of water storage in the week ending on October 11, 2018 was 109% of the storage of corresponding period of last year and 102% of storage of average of last ten years.</div>

The total storage capacity of these 91 reservoirs is 161.993 BCM which is about 63% of the total storage capacity of 257.812 BCM which is estimated to have been created in the country.</div>

37 Reservoirs out of these 91 have hydropower benefit with installed capacity of more than 60 MW. </div>

The Department of Transport, Delhi Government, vide its notification issued on 04th June 1999, carried out the amendment in Rule 115 of Delhi Motor Vehicle Act 1993, making it optional for women “whether riding on pillion or driving motorcycle to wear a protective headgear.”</div>

The  Rule was further amended,  vide notification dated 28th August 2014 as “ in the Delhi Motor Vehicle Rule 1993, in Sub-Rule 115 for the word “Women” the word “Sikh Women” shall be submitted.</div>

Ayushman Bharat scheme; 50,000 people have benefited in two weeks

<p dir="ltr">More than 50,000 people have benefited from the Ayushman Bharat scheme in two weeks. Prime Minister said that the first beneficiary of the health assurance scheme was from this State.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was addressing a public gathering inSampla, Rohtak in Haryana.</p>
<p dir="ltr">He unveiled a statue of Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram. At a public meeting, the Prime Minister unveiled a plaque to mark the laying of Foundation Stone of the Rail Coach Refurbishing Karkhana, Sonepat.</p>
<p dir="ltr"> Once complete, this will be a major repair and maintenance facility for rail coaches in the northern region. It is being set up using modular and prefabricated construction techniques, modern machinery, and environment-friendly features.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Prime Minister said that the Rail Coach Refurbishing Karkhana will contribute to the development of not just Sonepat, but the entire State of Haryana. He said it will benefit small entrepreneurs in the region, besides generating employment for youth.</p>

The due date for filing of Income Tax Returns and Audit Reports for Assessment Year 2018-19 is 30th September, 2018 for certain categories of taxpayers.</div>

Central Board of Direct Taxes(CBDT) had earlier extended the date for filing of Income Tax Returns and various reports of Audit to 15th October, 2018. </div>

However, as specified in earlier order dated 24.09.2018, assessees filing their return of income within the extended due date shall be liable for levy of interest as per provisions of section 234A of the Income-tax Act, 1961.<br />

Pooja Bhatt: I'd like to believe that things are changing but nothing changes until things change in your homes and bedrooms. It's important to air your frustrations. I think violence and abuse come in various forms. When a woman is in pain, that is held against you. When you speak uncomfortable truths in a world of lies, people tend to turn a deaf ear. I believe that truth does not require PR. Expecting people to take your hand when you are engulfed in your rage is naive, because no one will fight your battle for you. The change is that we talk about it more. but the life we preach and life we live are different realities.</div>

I think only when our homes are safe, the world will be safe because as we know 90 per cent abuse happens in homes.<br />

I was a sex symbol by default. I was 23 when I decided to be a filmmaker because I was appalled by the work that was being offered to me. Directors had a problem about me asking for a script. They said, Mahesh Bhatt ki beti hai islie dimaag kharab hai. But I ended up making a film like Tamanna. It was a flop but it got me a national award. After that I made films like Dushman, Zakhm and then Jism, which made more business than other films.<br />
