Delhi Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met today and decided in principal that all ministers/officers of Delhi Govt. shall not use any coloured beacons. This, however shall not cover services such as police, ambulance, fire brigade and enforcement Vehicles of Transport Department. The Department shall put up an appropriate proposal by 30th December 2013.

Cabinet also decided that the first session of 5thlegislative assembly of National Capital Territory of Delhi will be summoned from 1st January to 7th January 2014. The cabinet also decided that on 1st January oath/affirmation to the MLAs will be administered in the assembly.

The cabinet considered the note of principal secretary law justice and legislative affairs and approved the proposal contained in para 14 of the cabinet note. However it was decided that Vote of confidence shall be obtained in the legislative assembly rather than Ramlila ground.

The cabinet was attended by ministers of Delhi Govt. Manish Sisodia, Somnath Bharti, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Ms Rakhi Birla, Girish Soni, Satyandra Jain, Chief Secretary Sh. D. M. Spolia, Principal Secretary Dr. M. M. Kutty, Pr. Secretary (LJ & LA) Sh. A. S. Yadav, Secretary to Chief Minister Rajendra Kumar, Secretary Power Sh. Puneet Goel and Secretary GAD Sh. A. B. Shukla.

The Cabinet also decided in principal that no security would be provided to any officer or minister of Government of Delhi as a matter of routine, unless there is a threat perception evaluated by the security agencies from time to time. These include PSOs, House Guards, Escorts, Pilots etc. This will come into force with immediate effect.
