The famous designer Manish Malhotra is set to designe the costumes for the play biggest theatre play 'Mughal-e-Azam-The Musical'. After four sold out seasons in Mumbai, finally Nation’s biggest theatre productions “Mughal-E-Azam - The Musical”comes to the capital city Delhi to mesmerize audiences. As today the entire team of the play interacted with the media in Press Conference held at India Habitat Centre.</div>

Present in the event was the famous designer Manish Malhotra, who for the first time in his 26-year career, designing the costumes for a play. Along with him the director of the play Feroz Abbas Khan and Choreographer Mayuri Upadhaya were also there to grace the event. Even Director at Shapoorji Pallonji group Deepesh Salgia and Deepak Bajaj Executive Director at NCPA too shared their presence.</div>

The entire team shared their own views and thoughts for the same, so in between speaking of his vision for the theatrical director Feroz Abbas Khan said, "I wanted to do something that was totally against my grain. I wanted to share this great piece of cinema as a huge theatre experience. For audiences in Delhi, we are setting it up on an even bigger scale than Mumbai." Whereas, Manish Malhotra who has designed a record breaking six hundred plus costumes for the musical adds, "The costumes reflect the traditions and tehzeeb of the Delhi Sultanate.</div>

Some countries need to work harder than others to convince and enable mothers to breastfeed. India has taken the first step through its recently passed maternity bill; the following could be additional measures to make breastfeeding easier for the women and the norm of the land.</div>

Hence, it is considered the perfect first food to help a baby achieve every aspect of ideal growth and development. With right initiatives taken to support breastfeeding, India can emerge to be a breastfeeding-friendly nation in no time.</div>

<p dir="ltr">The National Centre for Education Research and Training (NCERT) had invited reviews of NCERT textbooks from states, at the 54th General Council meeting. On behalf of the Government of NCT of Delhi, Education Minister Mr. between the Left & the Right. They must be designed to suit needs of children," wrote Mr. Sisodia. He presented a detailed critique of the textbooks and wrote a letter to Union HRD Minister Mr. Prakash Javadekar on the issue.<br>
Mr. Sisodia read all textbooks of each subject over the past few weeks and compiled a systematic review of the textbooks. His letter to the Union HRD Minister also includes subject-wise reviews compiled by the teachers of Delhi.<br>

The Education Minister of Delhi said after the meeting, "Successive governments have used education as an ideological battlefield, that is used to force certain narratives on children. Education must not be a platform for such political point scoring. The design of our textbooks must be with the sole purpose of improving learning outcomes of our children. Textbooks should help children build on their own life experiences, so as to generate genuine interest and curiosity among them for the textbooks."<br>

Jamia is all set to launch Korean Studies Programme

<p dir="ltr">Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is all set to launch Korean Language Programme from the academic year 2017-18. JMI has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korea Foundation to teach Certificate and Elective Courses in Korean Language at Jamia Millia Islamia.  As part of the understanding between the two institutions, Korea Foundation has appointed a Korea Foundation Visiting Professor for the teaching of these courses.<br>

A high-level delegation from the Academy of Korean Studies called on Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, JMI and extended all possible support to strengthen Korean Studies in JMI. The delegation comprised of Vice President of the Academy Professor Shin, Jong-Won, Professor Do-young Kim, Korean Foundation Visiting Professor and Dr. Kyung Rhan Chung, Director, Centre for International Affairs and other colleagues from the Academy.<br>

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Talat Ahmad thanked Korea Foundation and the Academy of Korean Studies for extending unstinted support to JMI in this regard and proposed launch of these courses. He hoped that collaborations with premier Korean institutions will give new dimension to the existing academic cooperation between the institutions of learning which would be in sync with growing bilateral ties between India and Republic of Korea. <br>
