Indo-Bangladesh joint exercise SAMPRITI 2017 was held at Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School, Vairengte in Mizoram. The Exercise SAMPRITI is an important bilateral defence cooperation endeavour between India and Bangladesh. Major General Md Moshfequr Rahman of Bangladesh Army and Major General M S Ghura of the Indian Army presided over the ceremony.</div>

The exercise is aimed at strengthening and broadening the aspects of interoperability and cooperation between the Indian and Bangladesh Armies while working together in a counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism environment under the UN mandate. Exercise was conducted under the aegis of the Red Horns Division of Gajraj Corps and had two distinct components which included Command Post Exercise (CPX) and Field Training Exercise (FTX).</div>

Troops from 38 East Bengal Regiment of Bangladesh Army and Mahar Regiment of Indian Army represented respective Armies during the exercise. </div>

The CPX was conducted at recently created Joint Training Node, Umroi, Meghalaya from 06 November to 11 November 2017 over six days whereas FTX was conducted at Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School, Vairengte, Mizoram from 06 November, over a period of 13 days.</div>

The CPX focused on planning of counter-terrorist operations whereas during FTX focus was on company/platoon level tactical drills. A tactical exercise was also conducted during the FTX.</div>

Joint Exercises between Armies across the world are increasingly becoming an important aspect of the bilateral relations. Exercise SAMPRITI between the armies of India & Bangladesh was not only symbolic of their maturing relationship but will also built trust and confidence between both Armies.</div>

New Delhi: In a bid to provide Universal Health Coverage, the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal approved the proposal to entrust the mission with the responsibility of management and setting up of 1000 Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics in Delhi. Chief Minister took a review meeting of the Delhi State Health Mission (DSHM). The review meeting was attended by Health Minister, Shri Satyendar Jain, Social Welfare Minister, Shri Rajendar Pal Gautam, Chief Secretary and other senior officials of Delhi Government and Municipal Corporations.   </div>

The Chief Minister was presented an overview of the functioning of DSHM. The Vision of DSHM is to provide affordable, accountable and quality assured healthcare for all. The basic thrust of DSHM is to focus on primary healthcare delivery systems, special interventions for the underserved & vulnerable and taking care of the health needs in difficult areas such as slums, JJ Clusters, resettlement colonies, unauthorised colonies and urbanized villages.</div>

In line with the objective of the mission of providing Universal Health Coverage, the Chief Minister approved the proposal to entrust the mission with the responsibility of management and setting up of 1000 Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics in Delhi.</div>

The meeting chaired by the Chief Minister also allowed the Rogi Kalyan Samitis (RKS) to hire short term manpower for hospitals to fill the gaps in health services. This will help hospitals have adequate number of staff for services as and when required.</div>

Amid the much hue and cry over the coming odd-Even scheme, ultimately Delhi government called off the said car rationing scheme that was supposed to start from Monday.</div>

It is ntoed that  Chief Minister held a meeting on 11/11/2017 to review the situation after the order of Hon’ble NGT given in a special hearing on 11.00 A.M today.  The meeting was attended by Minister (Health), Minister (Transport), Minister (Environment), Minister (Development), Chief Secretary and other senior officers.<br />

The  Chief Minister welcomed the directions of the Hon’ble NGT wherein the NGT has allowed the Government of Delhi to go  ahead with the Odd-Even scheme.</div>

The  NGT has issued directions to withdraw many of the exemption including the exemption to two wheelers and women drivers.  This Government gives highest priority to the safety and security of women and therefore, it feels that the exemption to this category should continue. </div>

Further, this Government feels that considering the large number of two wheelers in Delhi, unless adequate number of  buses are available, implementation of Odd-Even will cause great hardship to such persons. This is not feasible to arrange such a large number of buses at this stage.</div>

Therefore, the Government intends to move an application  before Hon’ble NGT  to review its order  for exemption of two  wheelers and women drivers  and after the outcome of such application, the implementation of  Odd/Even will be considered. </div>

Meanwhile, the Government has decided to defer the roll out of Odd-Even on 13.11.2017.  </div>
