New Delhi: The Anti Corruption helpline started by the Govt. of Delhi has been functioning since January 2014. The general public lodge their complaints relating to demand of bribe by any government official in NCT of Delhi through this helpline No. 1031 (toll free).
Additional Commissioner (ACB) of Government of Delhi Shri V. Renganathan while giving details of various cases informed that during the month of February 2014, complaints received through the helpline No. 1031 relating to demand of bribe by government servants of various Departments were referred to Anti Corruption Branch of GNCT of Delhi.

On receipt of such complaints, the Anti Corruption Branch followed up the matter with the complainants and with their co-operation traps were laid and 07 Govt. officials belonging to various Departments including Trade & Taxes, Archaeological Survey of India, PWD, Income Tax and Delhi University and 01 private person (Dalal) operating outside the premises of Sub-Registrar office Kapashera were caught red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe money from the complainants. 06 cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act were registered and the accused persons were arrested.
Renganathan further informed that the Anti Corruption Branch, Directorate of Vigilance, GNCT of Delhi is continuously taking immediate and stringent legal action against the officials who are indulging in corrupt practices on receipt of the complaints through the Anti Corruption Helpline. The general public is requested to lodge the complaints regarding corruption/demand of bribe in NCT of Delhi through Helpline Number 1031.
