Cabinet approves 8 new line projects across Indian Railways
- The 8 (Eight) projects covering 14 Districts in Seven States i.e., Odisha, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Telangana and West Bengal will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by 900 Kms.
- With these projects 64 New Stations will be constructed, providing enhancing connectivity to Six(6) Aspirational Districts (East Singhbum, BhadadriKothagudem, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada), approx. 510 villages and about 40 lakh population.
- Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site will be connected to Indian Railway Network facilitating large number of tourists.

The First Training Squadron (1TS), comprising INS Tir and CGS Sarathi, concluded visit to Port Louis, Mauritius, as part of their Long Range Training Deployment. Chandrayaan-4 mission: ISRO To Launch LVM-3 and PSLV in 2028
- ISRO has decided to launch Launch LVM-3 and PSLV in 2028 for its ambitious Chandrayaan-4 Mission.
- The mission Chandrayaan-4 will bring moon rocks and soil (regolith) back to Earth.
- Two separate rockets — heavy-lifter LVM-3 and Isro’s workhorse PSLV — will carry different payloads for the same moon mission.
- If the mission remained succesfully, India will become fourth nation with capability to bring back the samples from the moon surface.
Sudarshan Setu
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated Sudarshan Setu which connects Okha mainland and Beyt Dwarka island, built at a cost of around Rs. 980 crores.
- It is the longest Cable-stayed bridge in the country of around 2.32 Km.
- Sudarshan Setu boasts a unique design, featuring a footpath adorned with verses from Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and images of Bhagwan Krishna on both sides.
- It also has solar panels installed on the upper portions of the footpath, generating one megawatt of electricity.
- This bridge will ease the transportation and significantly reduce the time of devotees travelling between Dwarka and Beyt-Dwarka.
- Before the bridge's construction, pilgrims had to rely on boat transport to reach Beyt Dwarka. This iconic bridge will also serve as a major tourist attraction of Devbhumi Dwarka.

Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh-India's largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), under the aegis of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has successfully commissioned India's largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), which stores energy using solar energy.
The 40 megawatts (MW) / 120MWh BESS with a solar photovoltaic (PV) plant which has an installed capacity of 152.325 megawatt hour (MWh)and dispatchable capacity of 100MW AC (155.02 MW peak DC) is located in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.
A unique aspect of this project is its strategic use of previously unused land.

- Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone of 10 national highway projects worth more than 8,415 crore in Uttar Pradesh
- Five national highway projects worth 2,200 crore rupees are in the Pratapgarh region while five projects worth 6,215 crore rupees are in the Deoria Region of the State.

G20 Anti-corruption Working Group Meeting Rishikesh (Tehri), Uttarakhand
- The Second meeting of the G20 Anti-corruption Working Group Meeting May 25-27 was concluded in Rishikesh (Tehri).
- The meeting had wide participation from 90 delegates of 20 member countries, 10 Invitee countries and 9 International Organisations including UNODC, OECD, Egmont Group, INTERPOL and IMF.
Al Mohed Al Hindi 23; India-Saudi Arabia Bilateral Maritime Exercise
- The sea phase of second edition of bilateral exercise 'Al Mohed Al Hindi 23', between Indian Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Force (RSNF) was held from 23 - 25 May 23 off Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
- Indian INS Tarkash, INS Subhadra and Dornier Maritime Patrol aircraft (MPA) participated in the exercise from the Indian side.
- The RSNF was represented by HMS Badr and Abdul Aziz, MH 60R helo and UAV.
- The three-day exercise at sea witnessed a wide spectrum of maritime operations.

- All 96 cables on India's first cable-stayed bridge, the Anji Khad bridge connecting Katra and Reasi in Jammu and Kashmir have been fully installed in a record time of 11 months.
- Situated over Anji river, Anji Khad Bridge will connect Katra & Reasi Section.
- This is a part of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway link.
- India's first ever cable-stayed rail bridge is a true engineering marvel which has been completed despite difficult geographic conditions in the area.
- It has been said that it has been completed in just 11 months.

Pratap Subrahmanyam Centre for Digital Intelligence, Security Hardware and Architecture Centre @ IIT, Madras
- Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Electronics & IT Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar inaugurated the Pratap Subrahmanyam Centre for Digital Intelligence, Security Hardware and Architecture Centre (PS CDISHA) at IIT, Madras.
- The Centre has been created through contribution of one of IIT-M alumni from the class of 1985, Shri Pratap Subrahmanyam.
- As part of the Computer Science Engineering Department, it will work in the areas of Computer Architecture, Security, Machine Learning and VLSI Design.

ISRO To Launch PSLV-C55 with two Singaporean satellites
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is to launch PSLV-C55 with two Singaporean satellites.
- It will be the 16th mission of the PSLV
- A commercial mission through NewSpace India Limited which is the commercial arm of ISRO. PSLV-C55 will launch two Singaporean satellites-
- TeLEOS-2 and Lumelite-4
- TeLEOS-2- the primary satellite with weight 741 kg
- Lumelite-4-weight 16 kilograms

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the program ‘Commemoration of 50 years of Project Tiger’at Mysuru University in Mysuru, Karnataka.
- The Prime Minister also launched the International Big Cats Alliance (IBCA).
- India is home to 75% of the world’s tiger population in the 75th year of Indian independence.
- The tiger reserves in India cover 75,000 square kilometers of land.
- In the past ten to twelve years, the tiger population in the country has increased by 75 percent.
- India has only 2.4 percent of the world’s land area but it contributes toward 8 percent to known global biodiversity.
- India is the largest tiger range country in the world.
- The largest Asiatic elephant range country in the world with nearly thirty thousand elephants.

President Droupadi Murmu Sortie in a Sukhoi 30
President Droupadi Murmu took a historic sortie in a Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft at the Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam.
President Murmu is the third President and second woman President to undertake such a sortie.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi participated in Combined Commanders’ Conference in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
The conference witnessed participation of commanders from the three armed forces and senior officers from the Ministry of Defence. Inclusive and informal interaction was also held with soldiers, sailors and airmen from Army, Navy and Air Force who contributed to the deliberations.
