North Delhi Mayor Azad Singh inaugurated the newly-constructed building of maternity and child welfare centre at Tikri Kalan village. Standing Committee Chairman Mr. Mohan Prasad Bhardwaj; former Deputy Mayor and former Member of Parliament, Ms. Anita Arya and many senior officials of other departments were also present on this occasion.

Azad Singh said that this centre would be very beneficial for the women living in nearby areas. He informed that the three-storey building has been developed on 227.92 square metres area at each floor at a cost of Rs. 171.95 lakh.

He said that the Corporation has developed schools, dispensaries and maternity and child welfare centres in villages and this infrastructure is proving very beneficial to the villagers.

Mohan Bhardwaj said that this is matter of great happiness that the maternity and child welfare centre has been opened in this village which is located on the border.

Ms. Anita Arya also praised the Corporation leaders and officials for doing development works in villages.
