New Delhi: BJP Candidate from New Delhi Parliamentary Constituency Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi this morning started her campaign trail, meeting morning walkers at Dhingra Park where she met and discussed issues with the residents of Punjabi Bagh and Moti Nagar.
She assured the people that she would work with full zeal to resolve the problems of water scarcity and traffic congestion. Local MLA Shri Subhash Sachdeva, BJP leader Bharat Bhushan and a large number of local party men accompanied her.

Smt. Lekhi thereafter took a mega Road Show in Rajinder Nagar Vidhan Sabha and Karol Bagh area. Here talking to people she assured to work on curbing the growing rate of crime against women in this area. She said that as a woman she can feel the insecurity the women of the area are facing and she would act fast in the mater. Local MLA Shri R.P. Singh. District President Shri Virender Babbar and local Councillors accompanied her.

She later addressed a meeting of women workers of the Party at Pandav Nagar J.J. Colony and said that she feels ashamed that even after 67 years of independence people of the area have to live in such pathetic condition where there is a total loss of civic amenities.
