The Smile International Film Festival, officially known as the Smile International Film Festival for Children & Youth (SIFFCY), boasts a relatively young but impactful history. Actually, it was launched in 2015 and initiated by Smile Foundation, a leading Indian development organization, SIFFCY aimed to engage, educate, and empower young minds through "good cinema. Acknowledging its great and impressive presence, the festival has grown steadily, showcasing over 100 films from over 50 countries in its recent edition.

The third edition of the ‘Smile International Film Festival for Children & Youth’ (SIFFCY) was inaugurate in New Delhi.

Actress Raveena Tandon participatd in the event and said that movies are the best media to educate our children, so I also want to thank SIFFCY which has acted as a media to communicate goodness to our children, as it is the right time to educate them what is good and what is bad for them.

SIFFCY (Smile International film festival for children & youth) is one of a flagship initiatives of India’s leading development organisation Smile foundation launched in 2015 with an objective to engage, encourage, educate & empower young people through Good Cinema, screenings of value based films, interactive sessions, capacity building activities & related workshops. 

The festival has created a benchmark in its category and has already been recognised as a highly credible international film festival for young audiences.
