On the occassion of the 550th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji, the Delhi government has taken the historic decision of including Kartarpur Corridor in the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra scheme. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced the inclusion of the Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana. Now senior citizens will now be able to visit the sacred site free of cost under the scheme.

Delhi’s senior citizens will now be able to visit the sacred site free of cost under the scheme. CM Shri Kejriwal said that all charges, whether by the Indian government or the Pakistani government will be borne by the Delhi government. The Delhi Cabinet gave its in principle approval to this effect today. The Revenue department has been directed to work out the details based on the final arrangement between the Indian and Pakistani governments.

Kejriwal has said that the Delhi-Amritsar-Wagah border-Sri Anandpur Sahib route will be extended to Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib. The Cabinet has approved this extension today and it has been sent to the Revenue department to work out all the details. There are many uncertainties about the fees that will be charged from pilgrims, etc. Once those details are finalised, we will also work out the program under our scheme. As on other routes, senior citizens will be entitled to take one younger attendant with them.”
On the request of Sikh organisations, CM Shri Kejriwal suspends Odd Even for 11-12 Nov in light of Prakash Parv celebrations
Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal announced the suspension of Odd Even scheme for two days, 11 and 12 November in view of the 550th Prakash Parv celebrations. CM Shri Kejriwal said, “The 550th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is being celebrated through a grand Nagar Kirtan on the 11th and the Guru Parv on the 12th. Lakhs of people from the Sikh community are expected to join the celebrations. Several Sikh organisations came to me with a request to suspend Odd Even for these two days and we have decided to do that.”
