  •   Hardik Singh and Salima Tete were named the men's and women's players of the year at the Hockey India Awards 2024.
  • 'Matabari Pera' served as prasad at the Tripurasundari temple in Tripura and 'Pachar', a hand-woven cloth used by indigenous communities, were awarded the coveted GI tag.
  •  Axis Bank launches digital US dollar fixed deposit service for NRI customers at GIFT City.
  • Professor Meena Charanda, Principal of Kalindi College, Delhi University, was given the International Culture Award for the year 2024 for her remarkable work in the field of education and social service.
  •  Jayshree Das Verma took charge as the 41st national president of industry body FICCI Women' s Organization (FLO).
  • Bangladesh launched the first submarine base BNS Sheikh Hasina built with the help of China. Six submarines and 8 warships can be deployed simultaneously at this base. Its aim is to increase the strength of Bangladesh Navy in the Bay of Bengal.

  •  Varanasi became the GI Hub with 36 products receiving the GI Tag, leading Uttar Pradesh to 1st place in India with overall 69 GI Tags. Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Kerala are ranked in descending order after UP.
