A series of asanas and breathing exercises are also included in this book for students to overcome stress.</div>

Now students will be able to refer to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s advice on how to tackle exam challenges in his book, ‘Exam Warriors’. It seeks to help spread smiles during examinations, viewing them as occasions to celebrate learning with festive joy. The book was launched at a function in Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra here today. Union External Affairs Minister, Smt Sushma Swaraj was the Chief Guest for the function. Union Human Resource Development Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.</div>

While addressing the occasion, External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj said that the youth of the nation look up to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as an inspirational leader and the PM’s insights will be a valuable guide for them to script their own success stories. She said that the book is written in a very interesting manner and it motivates students to become a Warrior, not a Worrier. She added that the ultimate beneﬁciaries of the book will not only be our Exam Warriors, but also our society as a whole, including teachers, parents and the larger community. Smt. Swaraj briefly explained the 25 mantras given by PM Shri Narendra Modi to counter the exam stress.</div>

Speaking on the occasion, Prakash Javadekar said that the education is an essential tool in development and progress as it opens various doors to the opportunities of achieving better prospects in life. He further said that relaxing before the exams is the best way to perform well. Shri Javadekar reiterated PM Modi’s Mantra of treating exams as a festival and not as a source of stress. He also requested parents to accept their children, the way they are and should not burden them with their expectations. Shri Javadekar also advised NCERT officials to develop a creative curriculum to make learning more exciting and interesting.</div>

This year, Indian tunes will be the flavour of ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony, here tomorrow. As many as 26 performances on the historic Vijay Chowk will enthral the spectators with captivating and foot-tapping music of the bands from the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the State Police and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). Out of the 26 performances, 25 tunes have been composed by Indian musicians, which are ‘Indian Soldiers’, ‘Jhelum’, ‘Aj Diya Rati’, ‘Herana Herana’, ‘Nritya Sarita’, ‘Kundan Singa’, ‘Mayur Nritya’, ‘Manohar’, ‘Natraj’, ‘Battle of the Sky’, ‘Sitare Hind’, ‘Mushkoh Valley’, ‘Giri Raj’, ‘Tejas’, ‘Gagan Shakti’, ‘The Great Marshal’, ‘The Brave Warriors’, ‘INS Nilgiri’, ‘Namaste India’, ‘Jai Bharti’, ‘Amrit Wani’, ‘Veer Gorkha’ and ‘Shere-E-Jawan’, while ‘Power of Sound’ and ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ are two new compositions. The only western tune will be ‘Abide with me’. The event will come to a close with the ever-popular tune of ‘Sare Jahan se Acha’.   </div>

The ceremony at the Vijay Chowk on January 29th every year marks the culmination of the four-day-long Republic Day celebrations. This year, 18 Military Bands, 15 Pipes and Drums Bands from Regimental Centres and Battalions are participating in Beating the Retreat ceremony. Besides one each of Indian Navy and Indian Air Force band will also form part of the event. Another band of the State Police and CAPF comprising Central Industrial Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force and Delhi Police will also take part.</div>

The principal conductor of Beating the Retreat ceremony will be Maj Ashok Kumar while Army Military bands conductor will be Sub Maj SK Sharma and the Navy and Air Force band conductors will be Master Chief Petty Officer (Musician-I) Ramesh Chand and Junior Warrant Officer Ashok Kumar respectively. The conductor of the State Police and CAPF bands will be Constable Bhim Singh. Buglers will perform under the leadership of Sub Jagdish Giri and pipes and drums bands will play under the instructions of Sub Maj Num Bahadur Gurung.</div>

‘Beating the Retreat’ has emerged as an event of national pride when the Colours and Standards are paraded. The ceremony traces its origins to the early 1950s when Major Roberts of the Indian Army indigenously developed the unique ceremony of display by the massed bands. ‘Beating Retreat’ marks a centuries old military tradition, when the troops ceased fighting, sheathed their arms and withdrew from the battlefield and returned to the camps at sunset at the sounding of the Retreat. Colours and Standards are cased and flags lowered. The ceremony creates nostalgia for the times gone by.</div>

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asserted that the fight against corruption and black money will not stop and the fight is for the future of India's youth. Prime Minister was addressing the NCC rally in New Delhi. </div>

On the occassion he said every young NCC Cadet came to this gathering with his or her own personality and identity. But, he added, that over the course of a month, new friendships would have been forged, and a lot would have been learnt from each other. NCC camps teach every youngster about the different cultures of India, he said. They motivate every youngster to do something good for the nation, he added.</div>

The Prime Minister said that this spirit that has been learnt in NCC camps will remain with the Cadets for life. He said that the National Cadet Corps is not about uniform or uniformity, it is about unity. Through NCC we nurture teams that work in mission mode and inspire others, he added.</div>

The Prime Minister said that the NCC has completed seven glorious decades, and has given a sense of mission to several people. He urged all stakeholders to think about the plan of action of the next 5 years, when NCC turns 75.</div>

The largest ship in the Navy and the country’s only aircraft carrier Indian Naval Ship Vikramaditya was formally affiliated to The Bihar Regiment, a highly decorated and battle hardened Infantry Unit of the Indian Army and the No. 6 Squadron of the Indian Air Force that specializes in maritime strike operations and operates the Jaguar fighter aircraft.</div>

The glittering ceremony was held onboard INS Vikramaditya in the Karwar Naval Base which is nestled amongst the picturesque Western Ghats.</div>

 The Admiral highlighted that the idea behind the affiliation was to foster espirit-de-corps and friendship between the three units that would lead to greater synergy and jointmanship between the three services and would also promote interaction between personnel of the three services and their families.</div>

The formal association between the three units commenced with the reading of the ‘Charter of Affiliation’. The aims of the affiliation and the association that the affiliated units were to maintain were listed in the ‘Charter of Affiliation’.</div>

The highlight of the event was an impressive flypast by aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm. The flypast was led by a formation of Chetak helicopters followed by formation of MiG-29K fighters of the INAS 303 squadron from the Goa based Naval Air Station, INS Hansa.</div>

The affiliation involved a host of activities over 17 and 18 Jan including a formal dinner, affiliation ceremony and organized visits for the visiting personnel. The event culminated with a grand Barakhana organised onboard INS Vikramaditya for all the participating personnel.</div>

The Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley Chaired the 25th Meeting of the GST Council in New Delhi today. The following Policy Changes have been recommended by the GST Council in its 25th meeting held today:</div>

The late fee payable by any registered person for failure to furnish FORM GSTR-1 (supply details), FORM GSTR-5 (Non-resident taxable person) or FORM GSTR-5A (OIDAR) is being reduced to fifty rupees per day and shall be twenty rupees per day for NIL filers. The late fee payable for failure to furnish FORM GSTR-6 (Input Service Distributor) shall be fifty rupees per day.</div>

Taxable persons who have obtained voluntary registration will now be permitted to apply for cancellation of registration even before the expiry of one year from the effective date of registration.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For migrated taxpayers, the last date for filing FORM GST REG-29 for cancellation of registration is being extended by further three months till 31st March, 2018.</div>

The facility for generation, modification and cancellation of e-way bills is being provided on trial basis on the portal ewaybill.nic.in. Once fully operational, the e-way bill system will start functioning on the portal ewaybillgst.gov.in</div>

Certain modifications are being made to the e-way bill rules which are to be notified nationwide for inter-State movement with effect from 01.02.2018 and for intra-State movement with effect from a date to be announced separately by each State but not later than 01.06.2018.</div>

India successfully launched the Long Range Surface-to-Surface Ballistic Missile, Agni-5 for its full range from Dr Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. This was the fifth test of the Missile and the third consecutive one from a canister on a road mobile launcher. All the five missions have been successful.</div>

The flight performance of the missile was tracked and monitored by radars, range stations and tracking systems all through the mission. All objectives of the mission have been successfully met. This successful test of Agni-5 reaffirms the country’s indigenous missile capabilities and further strengthens our credible deterrence.</div>

The launch operations were led by Project Director, Agni-5, Shri G Ramaguru and Programme Director, Agni, Shri MRM Babu. Directors of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) Labs namely ASL, DRDL, ITR, RCI and TBRL reviewed the entire launch operations. Senior officials from the Armed Forces were present on the occasion. Chairman DRDO & Secretary DDR&D Dr S Christopher congratulated Agni-5 team and said that the fifth consecutive successful flight test of Agni-5 is a major boost to country’s defence capabilities.</div>

In a bid to improve the services related to health and hospital issues, Delhi government is all set to implement Hospital Management Information System (HMIS). Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal took a review meeting of the health department. He reviewed the working of the hospitals in Delhi and the quality of services being provided. </div>

The Chief Minister directed the health department to develop the most modern Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) of international standard to integrate all Delhi Government hospitals, Polyclinics and Mohalla Clinics. He said that this would do away with the long queues & crowds at the government hospital and hugely enhance the patient experience at these hospitals.</div>

Implementation of HMIS will not only digitize all the government health facilities but it will also create huge facilities for the incoming patients. The new system, which was proposed in the meeting, will also take care of the 360-degree facilities for the patients like appointments/availability with Doctors etc through a centralized call centre, online appointments, medicines, telemedicine and redesigning of different infrastructural facilities like OPD, pharmacy etc.</div>

The dedicated call center will facilitate the patients and guide them to nearest hospitals. Refurbishing of OPD, Pharmacy, labs and patient attendant lounges will also be a part of the proposed system.</div>

 The task of designing a proposal in this respect has been assigned to the Health Minister, Chief Secretary and DDC. They will together work out a detailed proposal to integrate all Delhi Government hospitals, Polyclinics and Mohalla Clinics.</div>
