Geisha Designs by Paras& Shalini showcased their Lagoon collection at the ongoing Wills India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2014.
The designer duo Paras & Shalini dived deep under the sea to look for mystical treasures as their inspiration. The romantic, elegant, carefree and unpredictable attitude of the sea is presented through feminine cuts, free flowing sheer gowns and playful styles in blush, chalky whites, nude, grey and frozen blue with a punch of neons.
The luxurious surfaces are taken directly from life under the sea, with delicate lace embroidery and applique work imitating sea anemones and corals.The fabrics like silk tulle, chiffons, georgettes and organzas are carefully chosen to create an immaculate evening look. Ballroom gowns, peg skirts, and sheer blouses embellished with intricate needlecraft were the key elements of the collection. Cat-eye glasses and bold earrings added the touch of oomph to the sophisticated look.
