Lieutenant Governor, Delhi Najeeb Jung today convened a meeting of senior officers of Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi at Raj Niwas, which was attended by the Chief Secretary, Delhi; Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and Head of Departments, Commissioners of Municipal Corporations, Chairman NDMC and CEOs of Delhi Jal Board, Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board and CMDs of different Corporations under the jurisdiction of Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
Jung emphasized the fact that with the imposition of President’s Rule in NCT of Delhi senior officers of Administration should ensure that all steps are taken to ensure speedy delivery of various services and provide good governance to the citizens of Delhi. In the current situation they have to be extra vigilant, careful and have to exercise their intellectual and moral strength to provide an effective and proper administration in Delhi. He advised all the officers present to follow the Constitution of India in true letter and spirit and work strictly in accordance with Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991. Hon’ble Lt. Governor further emphasized that decisions of the Government taken earlier are to be respected and followed.
Lt. Governor directed that the Public Grievance Management System launched recently should continue to function properly at Delhi Secretariat and all the officers should ensure that the grievances are settled in time bound manner.
Jung also directed that Anti-Corruption campaign should continue and Govt. will follow policy of zero tolerance towards corruption. The Anti corruption helpline should also continue and the call received should be attended promptly.
Jung laid emphasis that all steps are to be taken to ensure that targets for collection of revenue particularly by Trade Taxes Deptt., Excise Deptt., Office of the Divisional Commissioner and Transport Deptt. should be met.
While listing the priorities to the Head of different Departments, the Lt. Governor instructed the concerned Officers to complete the following work / activities in a time bound manner.
