As part of the Dabur Chyawanprash Immune India School Challenge 2013, Dabur Chyawanprash joined hands with Fortis Healthcare and reached out to schools across India seeking participation for this mega initiative to identify and recognize the healthiest schools of the country.
A variety of media, including direct contacts, digital and print, were used to reach out to the schools. Principals of around 2,600 schools were approached over 2 months, for enrolling their schools in the campaign and obtaining data on various parameters like attendance of the students, medical facilities available in the school, drinking water facility, basic health and hygiene standards, sanitation facilities etc. and rated accordingly.
“Speaking about the initiative, K K Chutani, Executive Vice President-Marketing, Dabur India Ltd. said, “Today’s fast-paced and highly competitive lifestyle, increasing pollution levels, epidemics like dengue, unhygienic food & water are all taking a toll on our health. A strong immune system helps protect from a host of diseases and recurring ailments. However, most of us do not have a strong immune system and hence are susceptible to diseases. This is especially true for children since their immune system is still developing and hence they can be more vulnerable. In this backdrop, Dabur Chyawanprash -- being one of the leading healthcare brands in the country – has taken up the responsibility to drive awareness on the need for immunity especially amongst children, the future of the country through the Immune India campaign.”
