BJP Candidate from New Delhi Parliamentary Constituency Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi this morning started her campaign trail, meeting morning walkers at Lodhi complex and Budha Jayanti Park accompanied by MLA Shri R P Singh and Pradesh General Secretary Smt. Shikha Rai March. BJP Candidate from New Delhi Smt. Lekhi along with a harge number of party workers including LA Shri Anil Sharma, Councilor Radhe Shyam Sharma staged a Road Show in Vasant Vihar, Vasant Kunj and Basant Gaon.
The road show was profusely welcomed by local RWAs specially in the Jhuggi Clusters in Vasant Kunj. Later she campaigned in Tuglak Lane Jhuggi Cluster. People at all places raised the issue of scarcity of water in the area.
Smt. Lekhi assured the local residents that a large part of her MP funds would be dedicated for providing clean water to the people of New Delhi. Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi along with MLA Shri R P Singh went to Kathputli Colony, Patel Nagar and met the local RWA.
Their pathetic condition made Smt. Lekhi cry. With tears in her eyes she assured the residents a thorough probe in the matter and stopping their displacement after the elections.
