Abu Dhabi: Keeping its victory journey continue, the King XI Punjab defeats Kolkata Knight Riders by 23 runs in a high profile match in the IPL-7 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here. It was the consecutive fourth victory for King XI and now it has remained unbeaten in the tournament so far.
However earler the Kings XI Punjab made a total of 132/9 after in its innings against Kolkata Knight Riders. However it was not a satisfactory score for the team and the opening batsman Virendra Sehwag remained the top scorer with 37.
Shehwag was eventually bowled by legspinner Piyush Chawla and he has to do a lot as he was in his pace but soon lost his wicket after team touched the score of 100.
However, batting for Knight Riders remained not very well as it lost its three valuables wicket for just 19 runs.
Manish Pandey (8) Kallis (9) do not show their natural games and lost their wickets early.
Australia's Chris Lynn (13) and wicketkeeper-batsman Robin Uthappa (19), Yusuf Pathan made only 3 runs.
