Beijing,: Jaguar Land Rover China today announced adjustments in the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for three models in its portfolio to respond to investigationin auto industry from the Bureau of Price Supervision and Anti-Monopoly of the National Development and Reform Commission. The adjustment is also expected to strengthen competitiveness and increase its market share in the China premium auto market.
According to TATA press releases, Jaguar Land Rover sales increased steadily in China during the first six months of the year compared to the same period last year, an indication of the strong popularity of the company’s products. Bob Grace, Regional President, Jaguar Land Rover Greater China, commented, “These price adjustments are the result of our guiding principle of “Customer First”. We will do everything possible to work together with our Chinese retail dealer partners to offer customers the highest levels of support in all respects, whether that is vehicle sales or after-sales service.”
The MSRP for three specific models, namely the Range Rover 5.0 V8, Ranger Rover Sports 5.0 V8, and Jaguar F-Type Cabriolet will be reduced by an average of 200,000 RMB effective on August 1st. Jaguar Land Rover China is putting the “Customer First” in everything the company does, including investment in dealership network expansion and training, as well as further enhancements to after-sales service standards and the pricing system. The company has also made a commitment to its long-term presence in China with a joint manufacturing venture with Chery Auto. Local production will allow Jaguar Land Rover to be more flexible and responsive to customers in China, and quickly deliver what the China market really wants.
