New Delhi: Seven decades ago, in 1939, Raj Group took its place in the art of carpet and rug weaving and the spinning of yarn. With the completion of 75 years, Raj group is hosting a five day long exhibition for the very first time from on 4-8 July 2014 at the Stainless Gallery, New Delhi. The group will be showcasing 18 unique pieces comprising of art installations, carpets, photographs, wall art amongst other such creations. The group provides its global clients with a complete floor covering solution that includes carpets, durries, scatter rugs, bath mats, pillows and floor cushions. From traditional design techniques, the organization has established its presence in countries across the globe. Art, craft, design, tradition, handiwork and skill are some of the elements that contribute to this legacy.
The exhibition also displays photographs by two young and talented photographers, Ajit Bhadoriya and Brahm Maira. They capture the essence of the company through the lens and narrate their experience through the images. Throughout the exhibition, three of the artists will demonstrate the art of weaving on their looms. With this celebration, Raj celebrates the diverse forms of art and its people.
