For Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 Gaurav’s collection for his label 'Akaaro'
presented 'Meen', a line which had exclusive hand woven fabrics in Fulia,
Lycra, silk, cotton and zari from Bengal, Benaras and Chanderi. The collection
was inspired by underwater reflections in urban Indian landscapes.
Using discreet toned down metallic colours as
the base; Gaurav added some pastel accents for added impact. Emphasising on
strong woven detailing in some segments, the collection’s ensembles were all
engineered to perfection.
