Mumbai: It was the golden collection by Megha Garg which enchanted the audiences. Putting an emphasis on colour and drapes, Megha Garg presented an ethereal feminine collection called 'The Warrior Soul' at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014.
The USP of the designer was the special technique of pocketing and quilting sequins between fabrics, which took nearly two years to develop and was the focal point of the collection.
Paying tribute to the strength of the Indian woman, Megha displayed gorgeous gowns and dresses with intricate draped panels and structured patterns that resembled an armour. To create the feminine folds, the designer opted for raw edged organza hems, which were delicately attached to knit dresses.

The quilted sequins effect appeared as checked hologram, armour, honeycomb yokes or shell effects for dresses and gowns. Fabrics that gave life to the collection were flat chiffon, organza, net, heavy weight jersey and satin.
The colour story was a pleasant rainbow of hues that gave the ensembles a glamorous touch. Coffee, light pink, white, deep green/ brown orange, red, white, black and blue came seamlessly together for the elegant collection.
For an impressive but elegant line that will make an impact wherever the lady goes, Megha Garg’s “The Warrior Soul” will strike the right fashion notes.
