New Delhi: Priyanka has said that it is difficult to become Mary Com and she has only tried to portray her in the movie. Talented Priyanka Chopra, who is getting all praises for her power packed performance in the film "Mary Kom" visited Ambience Mall, vasant Kunj to launched Mary Kom Doll and promoted the film film. On the occassion the legend herself Boxer Mary Kom graced the event with actor Darshan Kumaar. Mary Kom is an upcoming 2014 Indian Biographical Drama drama film directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali on a story and screenplay written by Saiwyn Quadras.Based on the life of the Indian boxer Mary Kom, the film stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead. Sunil Thapa, Darshan Kumaar, Shishir Sharma and Zachary Coffin also star in the movie. The film is scheduled for release on 5th September 2014.
Priyanka said, "I can never become the legend “Mary Kom”, but I tried to portray her and worked hard for the film. Its my pleasure that this opportunity of portraying this role has offered to me.I hope people will like this film”. Also added, “Mary Kom is the mother of three lovely kids now but she is going to participate in next world boxing championship"
Mary Kom commented, “I really happy about this film and looking forward to get it released worldwide”
