New Delhi: India’s famous billiards player Pankaj Advani scripted another history when he won his 11th world title. He overcame Peter Gilchrist 6-2 in the points format (150-up) final.
It is noted that Advani has crowned himself World billiards champion for the 10th time.
Advani conquered the Singaporean cueist Gilchrist 6-2 in a high quality final of the shorter format of billiards.
With this title, Advani has now won the three different world titles in 2014 including the IBSF World 6-Red snooker title, the World Team billiards title and now the World billiards championship in the point format.
It is noted that in the tournament, Advani had outplayed compatriot Sourav Kothari 5-2 in one semifinal, whereas Gilchrist had edged out England’s Robert Hall 5-3 in the other.
