Speaking after the training session, player Lucas Vila said, “We have been training hard for the last three months for the 2014 Hero Champions Trophy. We had training sessions in Argentina and after that we played practice matches in Belgium and Spain. We have very strong teams in our pool. It’s quite tough to beat The Netherlands and Australia as they are very strong contenders. India also is in great form and they have good speed along with their skills.”
Commenting on today’s practice session, Coach Carlos Retegui said,“We have been playing a smart game till now and we will utilise our previous experience in the international tournaments. We are working hard on our penalty corners and we have an expert player Gonzalo Peillat for penalty corners, whose presence in the team will help us. Being a host, India is a threat to other teams and they have all the elements to upset big teams. We are looking forward to the match against India.”
The Hero Men’s Champions Trophy 2014 will be telecasted live on Ten Sports.
