New Delhi: Leading director Prakash Jha has made it clear that Jai Gangaajal is not a sequel to the film Gangaajal'. Jha,apart from directing and producing, will be seen in a supporting role in the movie.

Rahul Bhat and Vega along with film's director Prakash Jha were in Delhi for the promotion of their upcoming film 'Jai Gangaajal'.

Jai Gangaajal is directed and produced by Prakhash Jha. The film will deal with the societal issues including feminism and corruption. The former Miss World after garnering praises as an FBI trainee in her American TV show, ‘Quantico’,will be essaying the lead role of SP, Abha Mathur in the movie. The film will also see Prakash Jha in a supporting role.

After sharing screen space with other actresses in 'Barfi' and 'Bajirao Mastani', the ‘Kashibai’ will be seen in a strong heroic film after long. From beating up the goons to some hard hitting dialogues, the film has already created a lot of buzz among the audiences.

Prakash Jha apart from directing and producing, will se seen in a supporting role in the movie. He said "Jai Gangaajal is not a sequel to the film Gangaajal'.

"I was the junior most in the film in terms of acting" laughs Prakash Jha. Rahul Bhat who was last seen in the film Anurag Kashyap's 'Ugly' is all excited for his 2016 release and praising his director he said "Prakash Jha is one of those directors who makes film on such big issues. He is so very efficient and all his films affects the person within."


The film is scheduled to release on 4th March.
