National award winning
actor Manoj Bajpayee ensured that the anthem launch of his forthcoming
awe-inspiring biopic, Budhia Singh – Born To Run was one to remember!
From Viacom18
Motion Pictures – the studio that gave Indian cinema Bhaag Milkha
Bhaag, Mary Kom and Manjhi – The Mountain Man, comes this inspirational true
story of the world’s youngest marathon runner Budhia Singh -
Born To Run.
Budhia Singh -
Born To Run is based on the relationship between Budhia (Mayur Patole) and his
judo coach, Biranchi Das, played by Manoj Bajpayee. Das rescued the little boy
from one of Bhubaneswar's most notorious slums and helped him achieve
incredible heights.
Manoj Bajpayee says,
“I used to teach theatre to children in schools which was quite demanding. So
that experience helped me to train them in the movie. To train a 5-year-old was
difficult and to give him one direction was very challenging. I've always
maintained distance from Mayur and the other children because I wanted them to
feel that I was the coach. As an actor and an individual, working on Budhia
Singh... was difficult and inspiring.”
