It was the golden occasion in term of
Fashion, art and design as it was witnessed during the India’s leading luxury
lifestyle magazine, Abraxas Lifestyle, recently celebrated their fourth
anniversary with an evening of fashion, art and design at the Audi Delhi South
showroom in New Delhi.
The evening began with the traditional
lighting of the lamp ceremony - being lit by Raghav Chandra (Audi Delhi South),
Kazem Samandari (L’Opera) and other dignitaries held a special exhibition
showcasing their art and installations.
Guests got a sneak peek into designer
label Ashima Leena’s latest collection with a special fashion preview which saw
three models from the Goddess of Beauty 2016 pageant showcasing the brand’s
creations.
The Advisory Board of the magazine also
decided to initiate a process to
recognise and honour the leading designers and artists in the country - and in
the first edition the following eminent personalities were felicitated with the
“Abraxas Creative Masters 2016” award as Akash Das (Photography), B.K. Guru (Sculpture),
Leena Singh (Fashion Design), Meena Mani (Architecture), Sonali Bhagwati
(Architecture / Interior Design).
The event also saw the soft launch of
the book “Women Architects and Modernism in India - Narratives and Contemporary
Practices” by Madhavi Desai. Two of the selected women architects featured in
the book, Meena Mani and Sonali Bhagwati made a short yet interesting
presentation about the book.
IIID (Institute of Indian Interior
Designers) was also well-represented at the event - with a showcase of the
winning works from the IIID Anchor Design Awards.
The event saw the crème de la crème of
the city descend at the venue including Dr Kazem Samandari, Chairman L’Opéra;
actors Abhinav Chaturvedi, Ashwath Bhat; model / actor Prince Khurana, fashion
designers Manish Gupta, Gautam Gupta, Niket Mishra and Shantanu Singh;
socialites Aditi Mukerji, Shahana Mukerji, Sangeeta Nawani and Make Up Artists
Naina & Shyam Arora and Aashmeen Munjal.
