New Delhi:Spiritual Regeneration Movement Foundation of India organized a function at NDMC Convention Center auditorium in New Delhi to mark the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi birth centenary celebrations. To face all the negative challenges in our living, the special emphasis was laid on the spread of transcendental meditation and yoga all over the world.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Ved Vigyan Vidyapeeth University and Chief Secretary of Spiritual Regeneration Movement Foundation of India, Mr Ajay Shrivastava said that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi incessantly worked for the upliftment of the mankind for 50 years.  His 50 years of relentless effort brought more than 50 aspects of Vedic Science technology in to light and its correlation with Modern Science.

Stress on need for spread of transcendental meditation and yoga 

He said that the United Nations organization was introduced about the imperishable positive strength of Yoga – the Transcendental Meditation in 1968. So, far millions and millions of followers have benefited by the practical technique of Transcendental Meditation and Yoga program extensively in many countries across the globe, he added.

A bhajan sandhya was also organized on the occasion. Kavita Podwal ( Daughter  of Anuradha Podwal ) and Aditya Podwal ( Son of Anuradha Podwal ) recited bhajans – ‘ tan mera mandir shiv meri puja’ and ‘yashomati maiya se bole nandlala’ which were highly applauded by the audience.

A painting exhibition depicting the life and works of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was also organized of the occasion.

The senior office bearer of Maharishi Ved Vigyan Vidyapeeth University Mr Anand Prakash Shrivastav, Aditi Shrivastava and a larg number of followers of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi were participated in the function.
