 Asian Track Cycling championships 2019;  India rapped with impressive haul
India has finished to the absolute top ranking from the 140 odd ranking in the Asian Track Cycling championships 2019, Jakarta ,Indonesia held recently. Team India rapped up the events with an impressive haul of 04 Gold, 04 Silver and 02 Bronze Medals to reach the top of the medal chart and claiming supremacy over cycling giants like China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Kazakhstan, who were among sixteen Countries, which participated in 39th Senior & 26th Junior Asian Track Cycling Championships.

According to the Cycling Federation of India sources, it has  created an unbeatable record of winning all sprint GOLDS at stake and a complete wash over of the championships including pursuit events where we had never won a medal till now.  Team India creates Record of all sorts being the first ever team in the history of Cycling by securing Gold medals in all four sprinting events in the Track Cycling. 

Team India put the track on fire on the opening day with men junior team sprint team comprising of Mr. Esow, Mr. Ronaldo Singh, Mr. Jemsh Singh & Mr. Y Rojit Singh rewrote their own record in team sprint event.  Mr. Esow beat all the top junior riders of Asia to claim second Gold in his favorite Keirin event and then claimed his Third Gold in the sprint event beating his compatriot Ronaldo Singh to silver medal and making clean sweep in sprinting events. 

In the Asian Track Championship in the men junior section he becomes the only rider in all section of Men and Women to secure 03 Gold Medals in the entire Championship, thus justifying his No. one ranking in the World in Keirin and Individual Sprint events. Also, in the Women Junior sprinting section Ms. Triyasha Paul claimed Bronze Medal in the 500 Time Trial and this went on to partner with Ms. Nikita Nisha to win a Silver Medal in the Team Sprint event.

 Mr. Onkar Singh, Secretary General, Cycling Federation of Indian and Asian Cycling Confederation put this success to the hard-working coaching team lead by Mr. R K Sharma and Mr. V N Singh, who have worked relentlessly to make India proud of their performance. He also extended his gratitude to Sports Authority of India and their CSR partner Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. for their whole-hearted support and their unflinching faith in the efforts of the Federation during all the year of struggle to reach to this level of excellence.
