Country witnessed a high voter turnout in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections polling in which people cast their vote for 95 constituencies in 11 states and Puducherry.
According to the media reports, the overall turnout in second phase was 66.63% wheras surprisingly both the Union territory and Manipur clocking a percentage of 80.Election concluded peacefully for the second phase except for a few sporadic incidents of violence in West Bengal and Manipur. The 11 states for which phase 2 voting was concluded are Assam, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Union Territory Puducherry.

-Puducherry witnessed voting per cent - 80.47
-Tamil Nadu registered 63.73 per cent polling
-In Karnataka, voting per cent-61.84
-Srinagar seat in Jammu and Kashmir recorded a percentage of only 14.8.
Earlier Of the 95 constituencies, the AIADMK holds the maximum of 36, BJP-27, Congress-12, Shiv Sena and BJD each-4, JDS and RJD two each and NCP, JDU,PDP and other has one seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha Polls.
Union Ministers Jitendra Singh, Juar Oram, Sadananda Govda and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and DMK's Dayanidhi Maran, A Raja, Kanimozhi are the among the candidates who are in the fray in the second phase of Lok Sabha Polls.
