The overall turnout in second phase in the Election 2019 was 66.63% however both the Union territory and Manipur clocking a percentage of 80 percent which remained a certainly major event.

The 11 states for which phase 2 voting was concluded are Assam, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Union Territory Puducherry. 

Of the 95 constituencies, the AIADMK holds the maximum of 36, BJP-27, Congress-12, Shiv Sena and BJD each-4, JDS  and RJD two each and NCP, JDU,PDP and other has one seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha Polls.  

Union Ministers Jitendra Singh, Juar Oram, Sadananda Govda and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and DMK's Dayanidhi Maran, A Raja, Kanimozhi are the among the candidates who are in the fray in the second phase of Lok Sabha Polls. 

In today's Poll, out of total 95 Seats, Tamil Nadu (39 seats),Karnataka (14 seats),Maharashtra (10 seats),Uttar Pradesh (8 seats),Odisha (5 seats),Bihar (5 seats),Assam (5 seats),West Bengal and Chhattisgarh (3 seats),Jammu and Kashmir (2 seats) and Manipur (1 seat)  and Puducherry (1 seat). 

Out of thte states will go to polls in the second phase, with Tamil Nadu holding polls on all Lok Sabha seats, except Vellore which was cancelled by Election Commission of India after recovery of huge amount of cash allegedly in the constituency. A total of 1,644 candidates were in the fray for 97 Lok Sabha constituencies.

As many as 1,40,76,635 electors are on the Final Electoral Roll of eight constituencies in Uttar Pradesh which will go to polls in second phase of the General Election- 2019. The constituencies in this phase are - Nagina, Amroha, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura, Agra and Fatehpur Sikri.

The State is going through seven phase polling in the current General Elections -2019. In the first phase, voting for the eight Lok Sabha seats has already taken place on April 11th, 2019 and voting for phase-II is scheduled for 18th April, 2019.

It is to be noted that the under the Election 2019, the world’s largest electoral exercise began this month in India. It will concludes with  seven phases over a 38-day period. As the election is on full swing, the results for the entire exercises will be announced on May 23. In the major democratic exercises in the world. nearly 900 million people are eligible to vote. 

Needless to say, the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will be conducted across the country in seven phases. The first phase of polls were held on April 11 when 20 states and two UT went for polls. According to the schedule declared by the Election Commission of India, the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh phases will witness citizens voting for 115, 71, 51, 59, 59 seats, respectively.
