Corona Crisis: Government Begins Daily Disinfection of Buses and Metros
In a bid to take the precautionary measures at several levels, and especially in public transport system to deal with the Corona crisis, Delhi Government begins daily disinfection of buses and metros on daily basis.  

The government has started displaying the advisories in ISBTs, Bus Depots, DTC and Cluster Buses showcasing the symptoms, mode of transmission of Corona Virus and Do’s and Dont’s for the same. A 24X7 control room has also been set up at DGHS headquarters to deal with every query.

After the State-level task force meeting on Coronavirus, the Delhi Government has started the disinfection drive in all the buses and metros. 
Following the four cases which were confirmed in Delhi of the contagious virus, Delhi Government is taking precautionary measures at several levels, and especially in public transport system. To deal with this situation, all the buses and metros are being cleaned with disinfectants.

Transport Minister of Delhi, Shri Kailash Gahlot is personally monitoring the disinfection drive 24X7. He further said that government is fully equipped to tackle this crisis of COVID-19. We are taking proactive measures so that it doesn’t spread in public. We are making sure that all the buses and Delhi metro are being disinfected on a daily basis.
It is noted that in India, a total of 43 people have been infected with the Corona Virus out of which four have been reported in Delhi till date.
