Hanuman Jayanti 2024: Hanuman Jayanti, also known as Hanuman Janmotsav, will be celebrated with great pomp this year on April 23/24, 2024. According to scriptures and beliefs, Lord Hanuman is one of the eight Chiranjeevis and is an ardent devotee of Lord Shri Ram. Hanuman Jayanti has great religious significance among Hindus. Bajrangbali was born to King Kesari and Mother Anjani. He is also known as one of the eight Chiranjeevis and the Rudra incarnation of Lord Shiva.
Lord Hanuman was born on the full moon day of Chaitra month and people across the country celebrate this day with great enthusiasm and excitement as Hanuman Janmotsav.

How to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti?
Lord Hanuman is the son of Kesari and Anjana and his birth name was Anjaneya (son of Anjana), but throughout his life he was addressed by names derived from his heroic deeds.
On Hanuman Jayanti, all the devotees worship Lord Hanuman and for his happiness we worship the auspicious birth of Lord Hanuman. On this day, various types of devotional programs are organized along with worshiping the divinity of Lord Hanuman and remembering his childhood pastimes and heroic deeds.
As we all know that Lord Hanuman is very devoted towards the lotus feet of his Guru Ramchandra and hence after pleasing Lord Ram, people organize puja in temples and homes to please and please Lord Hanuman. There are two ways to worship Lord Hanuman; Traditional worship and meditation of Hanuman's qualities.
It is believed that God will remain secretly on earth in this world as long as the name of Lord Rama is sung, glorified and remembered and worshipped.
Hanuman Jayanti 2024: Rituals
- First of all, devotees wake up early in the morning and take holy bath, which is the primary condition for starting any puja.
- Place the idol of Lord Hanuman at the place of worship or any holy place and light a lamp of desi ghee.
- After that, offer red flowers to the idol of Lord Hanuman and chant Hanuman Chalisa and Bajrang Baan.
- Go to Hanuman temple and offer chola to Lord Hanuman which includes – jasmine oil, cloth and vermillion.
- Most of the people get Sundar Kand recited at home.
- Reciting Ramayana on this auspicious day is also beneficial.
