 T20 World Cup: India-Pakistan @2022

In 2022, India scripted one of the most memorable finishes, beating Pakistan in a last-ball thriller against the odds.

Batting first, Pakistan made an impressive 159/8 in 20.0 overs against India when Shan Masood contributed 52 and Haris Rauf 6 for the same.

However it was not a good start for Pakistan and both its openers, Babar Azam returned with only zero and Mohammad Rizwan made only four.

It was the middle order which displays suitable foundation with Shan Masood (52 runs in 42 balls) and Iftikhar Ahmed (51 runs in 34 balls) made a reasonable 160-run target. Shaheen Shah Afridi contributed 16 runs in 08 balls.

In chasing the score, India also started its innings with something damaging way and KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma failed to fulfill their stints. Both KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma returned to the pavilion adding 04 each.

But it was the person Virat Kohli who provide a solid foundation after partnering with a steady knock from Hardik Pandya (40 off 37 balls). He kept India hope alive in the match which was against the India’s arch rival Pakistan.

Virat Kohli made 82 runs in 53 balls with four six and six boundaries in his glorious innings. Hardik Pandya made 40 in 37 balls and provides a reliable support to Kohli in chasing the India's goal.

When India was to need 13 runs off the last three balls, but a no ball from Mohammad Nawaz changed the fate of the match in side of India. Kohli hit it for a six and brought the India’s target to six runs off three balls.

Ultimately it was  Ravichandran Ashwin lofted the ball over mid-off and scripted the history against Pakistan and kept the history which continued the India’s victory against Pakistan in World cup matches .
