New Delhi: Delhi PWD and Development minister toady inaugurated Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited Vocational Training Centre at JJ colony-Indra Camp Sector-3 Rohini . On this occasion chief executive office of TDDPL. Praveer Sinha, officers and staff member of TDDPL and large number of local people were also present.
Chauhan said on this occasion that TDDPL besides operational excellence also understands its responsibilities towards holistic and sustainable development of society.
This 6th centre will be imparted in the training of electrician and tutorial classes for upto 7th standard. The electrician course is divided into short term course of 2 month and long term course of 6 month respectively. The total beneficiaries in the first year would be around 220 student. Vocational training Centre wiil be operated with the help of NGO ANK. TPDDL through such initiatives have touched millions of lives to improve their living condition.
These initiative also includes mobile dispensaries, organizing non drug addication camp, tutorial classes for unprivileged kids,adult literacy programme for females, neighbour electrician programme, safety awareness drive and vocational training centres.
Minister PWD Rajkumar Chauhan said that the construction work of ITI building in Mangolpuri is in progress, this institution helps in providing quality techinical education for the student residing especially in Mangolpuri , Piragdhi, Udyog Nagar, Rani Bagh, Rohini, Avantika, Budhavihar, Sultanpuri and Madipur area.
Rajkumar Chauhan speaking to the people that our government is sensitive to the needs of the poor and Unprivileged class as it has given relief in power tariff to around 73% households in the city. The subsidy given by the government has been increased from `1Rs to 1.20 Rs upto 200 unit consumption and between 201 to 400 units the tariff has been brought down from 5.80 to 5 per unit.
