New Delhi; Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Ms. Sushma Swaraj inaugurated North Delhi Municipal Corporation’s newly-constructed rail underpass at Delhi Bhatinda crossing number 16 at Mundka-Rani Khera Road, municipal boys school and municipal girls’ school buildings at Mundka village.

Speaking on this occasion, Ms. Sushma Swaraj said that the underpass is the result of the hardwork being done by North Delhi Mayor and councillor from Mundka Mr. Azad Singh.

“I had laid down the foundation stone of this underpass four years ago and had said that I will inaugurate it because I was sure that it will complete in the stipulated time period,” Ms. Sushma Swaraj said. She also said that late Dr. Sahib Singh Verma helped connect the BJP with the people living in villages of Delhi. She also applauded the Mayor Mr. Azad Singh for visiting all wards and listening to the complaints and issues of the local residents.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly congratulated the North Corporation and Mr. Azad Singh for this project which will ease the traffic movement in the area to a great extent. “North Corporation deserves appreciation for carrying on the development works over the last six years without levying any new tax or increasing the existing tax,” Prof. Malhotra said.

North Delhi Mayor Mr. Azad Singh said, “I have always given special attention to villages because that is where I belong to. Following the path of Dr. Sahib Singh Verma, I am continuing to provide better civic amenities in villages. This underpass will save a lot of time of the people that went in waiting for the train to pass by.”

Informing about the projects, Mr. Azad Singh said that the rail underpass has been developed at a cost of Rs. 51. 13 crore including railway’s cost of Rs. 15 crore. Length of the RUB is 652 meters.
