Governor, Chief Minister, Shri J P Nadda, Union Minister, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, MPs, MLAs, Panchayat leaders, among others, were present on the occasion.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">During the interaction, talking to Dr Rahul of Civil Hospital, Dodra Kwar Shimla, the Prime Minister praised the team for minimizing the vaccine wastage and discussed their experience about serving in a difficult area.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;"> Talking to vaccination beneficiary Shri Dayal Singh of Thunag, Mandi, the Prime Minister inquired about the facilities of vaccination and how they dealt with the rumours regarding vaccination. The beneficiary thanked the Prime Minister for his leadership. </span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: x-large;">The Prime Minister praised the team efforts of the Himachal team. He added that Himachal has become the first state in India to have administered at least one dose of corona vaccine to its entire eligible population. This success has underlined the importance of Aatmvishwas and Aatmnirbharta, said the Prime Minister.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">He said that the success of vaccination in India is the result of the spirit and hard work of its citizens. India is vaccinating at the record speed of 1.25 crore vaccines per day. This means that the number of vaccinations in India in one day is more than the population of many countries. </span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">The Prime Minister praised doctors, ASHA workers, Aanganwadi workers, medical personnel, teachers, and women for their contribution to the vaccination campaign.  The Prime Minister recalled that he talked of ‘Sabka Prayas’ on the occasion of Independence Day, he said that this success is a manifestation of that. He also touched upon the fact of Himachal Being the land of deities and praised the dialogue and collaboration model in this regard.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">The Prime Minister expressed happiness that even in a remote district like Lahaul-Spiti, Himachal has been a leader in giving 100% first dose. This is the area which used to be cut off from the rest of the country for months before the Atal Tunnel was built. He praised the people of Himachal for not allowing any rumour or disinformation to hamper the vaccination efforts. He added that Himachal is proof of how the country's rural society is empowering the world's largest and fastest vaccination campaign.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">The Prime Minister said that tourism is also getting the direct benefit of strengthened connectivity, farmers and gardeners who produce fruits and vegetables are also getting it. By using internet connectivity in villages, young talents of Himachal can take their culture and new possibilities of tourism to the country and abroad.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">Referring to recently notified Drones rules, the Prime Minister said these rules will help in the spheres of many sectors like health and agriculture. This will open doors for new possibilities, said the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister referred to another of his Independence Day announcements. He said the central government is now going to create a special online platform for women self-help groups. He added that through this medium, our sisters will be able to sell their products in the country and the world. Thereafter, provided 5000th Railway station, at Midanpore in West Bengal and reached 6000th Railway station i.e Hazaribagh on 15.05.2021. Also, on the same day Jarapada station in Angul District of state of Odisha was also provided with Wi-Fi.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">The Wi-Fi facility at Railway Stations meets the objectives of the aspiring Digital India Program of Government of India. This will bridge the digital divide between the rural and urban citizens thereby increasing the digital footprint in the rural villages and also enhance the user experience. Wi-Fi facility is being provided by Indian railways at 6000 stations now.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">Provision of Wi-Fi facilities at Railway stations on self sustainable basis with no cost to the Railways. This facility was provided with the help of RailTel, a PSU under Ministry of Railways. The test will complement the gold standard RTPCR & Rapid antigen tests and make it one of the most affordable ones available in the market.</span><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">A Mumbai-based startup is ready with its affordable Rapid Antigen Test that offers COVID 19 diagnosis & surveillance at the cost of Rs 100 per test.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">The test developed by Patanjali Pharma will complement the gold standard RTPCR & Rapid antigen tests and make it one of the most affordable ones available in the market.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">The Centre for Augmenting WAR with COVID-19 Health Crisis (CAWACH), an initiative by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), supported the startup in July, 2020 to develop Rapid Covid 19 diagnostics (both Rapid antibody and antigen tests for surveillance and early diagnosis of Covid- 19, respectively).</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">Dr. Vinay Saini, Director, Patanjali Pharma, incubated the Startup in SINE, IIT Bombay, and developed the R & D lab as well as products within 8-9 months. They applied for the required licenses and evaluated and validated the products at different Covid Centres for knowing and further improving their efficacy.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">“It was an amazing experience to do internal validation of our products in Covid 19 patients and Viral Transport Medium (VTM) samples containing nasopharyngeal swabs of Covid patients. I accompanied my team members for multiple evaluations of developed products at different covid sites in Mumbai to boost up their confidence,” Dr. Vinay Saini said, speaking about the journey of development of the product.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">The startup plans to launch the rapid Covid-19 antigen tests in early June, 2021. The Rapid covid-19 tests (~10-15 minutes) would be helpful for early diagnosis of Covid-19 in rural areas, doctor’s clinics, and resource constraint areas where pathology and diagnostic labs are not available. A similar reports of Avian Influenza has also been received from poultry samples from Panchkula District of Haryana.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">The two multi-disciplinary teams comprising of experts from National Center for Disease Control, National Institute of Virology, PGIMER, Chandigarh, Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi and Lady Hardinge Medical College. New Delhi have been deployed to the affected districts by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on 4th January 2021 to assist the State Health Departments in implementation Ministry of Health & Family Welfare’s Avian Influenza containment plan.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">Additionally, a high level team comprising Director, NCDC and Joint Secretary & COVID-19 nodal officer, Ministry of Food Processing Industries has been deployed to Kerala on 6th January 2021 (today) to oversee the implementation of Avian Influenza containment operations and guide State Health Departments in mounting appropriate public health interventions for the same. In addition, this high level team will also review the COVID-19 situation in the State.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">Similar reports of avian influenza have also been reported from Jhalawar, Rajasthan and Bhind, Madhya Pradesh involving crows and migratory birds. Department of Animal Husbandry as per laid down protocol has issued alerts to further intensify surveillance to detect any case in poultry birds.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: large;">So far, no human case of Avian Influenza has been reported.
