New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Delhi Legislative Assembly and former Union Minister Dr. Vijay Kumar Malhotra inaugurated the newly-constructed stack parking built by North Delhi Municipal Corporation near Satbhramva School in Karol Bagh.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Vijay Kumar Malhotra said that Delhi has population of about two crore and the number of cars here is highest among all metropolitan cities. “Despite the rising population, the corporation is providing all possible services to the citizens. This parking would come as a great relief for the residents and traders here,” he said.
BJP Delhi President Mr. Vijay Goel said that the Corporation has done a great job by developing this parking in Karol Bagh. “This parking would benefit local residents, traders who work here and the citizens who visit this market. Further, its relevance will be more in the upcoming festive season,” he said.
North Delhi Mayor Mr. Azad Singh said that he has inspected all the wards in North Delhi and promised to provide more number of parking facilities. He congratulated area councillor Mr. Rajesh Bhatia on this occasion for completion of this project.
Standing Committee Chairman Mr. Ram Kishan Singhal said lack of space for parking has been an issue of concern in Karol Bagh. He said that the work for this parking had begun in 2010 and has finally completed. “Under-construction parking in Kamla Nagar can accommodate more than 800 cars. The multi-level car parking is also set to be inaugurated on August 16, 2013. A parking of the similar kind needs to be developed in Karol Bagh as well,” he said.
Area Councillor and Chairman of High-Powered Property Tax Committee, Mr. Rajesh Bhatia said this parking has been constructed with a cost of Rs. 78 lakh and it can accommodate 96 cars. “Karol Bagh being a commercial area, big parking zone and commercial centre can be developed here,” he said.
