New Delhi: All topics pertaining to women’s issue are at the forefront of most media today and though there is much value in said debate and discussions, most of this focuses on the problems rather than solutions. Here is a program that is committed to finding solutions and offers practical advice rather than conjecture.
This event gathers together in one place, the only people who can affect change in our country. Men and women, who are already trailblazers in the fields of finance, law, leadership, education, rights & personal transformation. Who have through their own experience gathered tools, techniques & skills to make a mark in their spheres of influence.
The 'Women of India Leadership Summit' will offer practical tools and solutions through interactive discussions and experiential workshops to women who are eager to acquire knowledge, skills and tools to better manage their abilities and resources.
The summit will create a community of change makers who by acquiring practical techniques &skills will further start a chain reaction for women in their communities to be able to take a stand be it financially, emotionally or physically.
We are writing to ask for your participation in the first 'Women of India Leadership Summit'. The summit is a powerful, fun and inspiring event with the aim of helping urban women in the National Capital Region to empower themselves by understanding their rights. As such, topics concerning personal management, gender rights, financial literacy, body image, marital status and a wide range of social issues will be the focus of the discussions.
The summit will be held from October 4-6, 2013 at the India Islamic Culture Center, Lodhi Road New Delhi. During the day, participants will attend interactive sessions with experts, followed by cultural performances in the evenings by some of India’s most talented performers.
What makes this summit different from all others is that it is not been put together by an event management company, this is really a labor of love by ordinary citizens who are fed up of waiting for the government and corporations to create opportunities for change and growth for women in India. It is a bunch of friends who have gotten together to try and make a difference and so far everyone who has signed up has done it because they believe in the project.
