New Delhi:BJP’s Chief Ministerial Candidate Dr. Harsh Vardhan was honoured by presenting ‘Spear’ the symbol of Nagaland in the North East Festival organized by the more than 1 lakh people of North East states living in Delhi. On this occasion, a resident of Assam Manas Deka announced that more than 1 lakh people of 8 North East states living in Delhi shall vote in favor of BJP so that an honest person like Dr. Harsh Vardhan becomes the Chief Minister of Delhi.
It may be mentioned that people from North East live in large number in Timarpur, Krishna Nagar, Model Town, Rohini, Janakpuri, R.K. Puram, Madipur, Mehrauli, Laxmi Nagar, Palam, Malviya Nagar, Patparganj, Kasturba Nagar and Bawana Assembly Constituencies. These people are genuine voters of Delhi. But their problems have not been solved by the Congress Government during the last 15 years. They are very much aggrieved by step motherly treatment by the Congress. BJP is the only ray of hope for them.
Overseas Friends of BJP In-charge P.B. Acharya, present on this occasion, described in detail the problems being faced by the people of North East states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim to Dr. Harsh Vardhan. He demanded that the step motherly treatment and discrimination in education, health, employment with the students of North East must come to an end when BJP comes to power.
Dr. Harsh Vardhan assured thousands of people present in the festival of North East states that BJP will include the problems of the people of these 8 states in its Election Manifesto and after coming to power end the step motherly treatment and discrimination by the Congress Government. BJP Government will make arrangements for lakhs of people of North East living in Delhi to get employment and lead secured, peaceful and honorable life.
