Delhi is facing a critical situation where more than 4 rape cases are occurring every day. Till 30th November 2013, 1450 rape cases were recorded in Delhi which is even more than double that were recorded in 2012.
The founder President of Sampurna, Dr. Shobha Vijender said during raising her voice against the increasing number of crimes against women and children in Delhi. 


She has said that till 30th November 2013, 1450 rape cases were recorded in Delhi which is even more than double that were recorded in 2012. 

She was worried that after Nirbhaya's incidence, Delhi is facing a critical situation where more than 4 rape cases are occurring every day.

She requested the members of Sampurna and others to continue their efforts to improve the situation by conducting Self-Defense camps and mental healthworkshops. During the discussion, the RWA members promised that they would support the MISSION SHAKTI Campaign of Sampurna to reach every household. Some of the members even gave the further dates to conduct the workshop on Self- defense.

The programme was largely attended by those who want to bring the change in the system as well as the inculcation of values within the society. Mr. Dabas, Anand Dhaiya, S.L.Sagar, Arya Muni, Satya Narayan Gautam, Anil Aggarvanshi Y.D.Sharma, M.S.Bisht, Mohini Shokeen, Barkha Chawla, J.K.Nata, Sanjeev Hans and Sanjay Singla were present in the meeting. 

Mr. Dabas, a representative of the Federation of Residents of Rohini was of the view that now the time has come when everybody has to play his/her ole to combat crime against women and children.

The Federation of Rohini Welfare Association complained about the increasing incidences of eve-teasing, chain snatching and fun-making crimes in the nearbyareas. Ineffective role of area Police was also discussed in the meeting. 

The representatives of urbanized village, Razapur were of the view that the children of their village are indulging in drug abuse in large number. At last, everybody had a community feast together.
